Why Consider Offering Digital Cards?

In the previous few blogs/podcasts you heard a bit about our back story, we reviewed what digital business cards are and in the last installment, I shared how having a custom-designed digital business card would benefit your client’s. . . along with reviewing some of the features of digital cards.

Today I am going to share with you my thoughts on why you should consider adding these digital cards to your product mix using VisnessWare. So let’s get started.

The first thing to consider is that you already have the skill set needed to design digital cardsIf you can produce a jpg image using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or some other platform, you already have 80% of what you need to offer custom-designed digital cards to your clients. Remember, you start with a blank canvas and put your design skills to work! Believe me, if I can do it as a photography with limited graphic design skills, you can do too!

Two. You already have clients and friends who use business cards. Chances are you have potential clients for your new product offering right under your nose! Anyone you know that currently uses a printed business card on a regular basis is a prospect for you!

Three. Digital cards provide you several ways to bring in new revenue for your business:

  1. You will have a new product you can offer your new and existing clients.
  2. You will have a product you can bundle with other services (web site, printed cards etc.) and use it as a value added offering.
  3. Use digital cards as a “door opener” product you can use to get new clients in the door and then up-sell and build relationships toward offering other services.
  4. Because digital cards are subscription based, you will receive recurring income year after year. This means less worry once you build your cardholder base.
  5. You will collect design and set up fees plus the annual subscription fee.

Four. You can save money because it is easy to get started right away without any advertising costs. Because digital cards are a new product you offer, you can go directly to your existing clients first and build up your catalog of cards which you can feature on your website. You already have the contacts information and relationship with your existing clients...take advantage of this low hanging fruit to get a quick start with no ad costs.

Five. You can save time. You will not have to piece together a card and all the linkages and other features because VW does it for you. This will save you at least an hour per card once you get going (you would spend days figuring out where to find the tools and weeks trying to make them work… trust me I have been there). This time saved could be used to promote your digital card services or spend some quality time with your family and friends or learn a new skill...the list is endless.

Six. You don’t have to lead with a higher price service to get new clients in the door. Plus your prospect pool for your services just got a whole lot bigger. . . all business professionals and organizations need business cards - digital cards.

Seven. You can feel comfortable we have your back. We put in the time and effort to find out what works and what doesn’t work so you don’t have to. Plus you have access to our Digital Business Card University which provides all the tools, tutorials, video and information you might need to learn and grow your digital card product line.

Eight. You are going to feel great knowing you are doing your small part by providing an eco-friendly product to your clients. Plus, producing a kick ass digital card that helps your clients gain awareness, referrals and peace of mind have to make you feel pretty darn good.

Nine. It is just plain cool that you can provide these cards to your clients and friends.  Not every designer can do so. . . consider yourself a leader and a first impression warrior!

That's it for this week. I hope you can see how offering custom-designed digital business cards can benefit you and your business.  Let us know your thoughts and please share this blog/podcast with others.

Cheers,

Barry "Custom-Designed Digital Business Card" Donovan
